Known inversion schemes for AMLCDs suffer from image burn‐in with de‐interlaced video material. Multi‐frame inversion schemes can prevent the burn‐in, but result in obvious large area flicker. A low‐cost method to prevent such flickering has been investigated and a demonstrator panel has been built.
