— A very‐high‐performance display‐controller IC for interfacing many types of flat‐panel‐display technologies to analog RGB and video has been developed. Input and output resolutions up to UXGA and HDTV are supported. The IC includes an on‐chip frame buffer, programmable image scalars, display timing controller, automatic image‐capture optimization, on‐screen‐display controller, and a 16‐bit microprocessor with peripherals.
