— The dynamic behavior of twisted‐nematic active‐matrix liquid‐crystal displays directly affects the quality of moving images displayed on them. The phenomenon of non‐constant pixel capacitance affects the dynamic behavior of twisted‐nematic AMLCDs. It was found to be an important factor in the deterioration of moving‐image quality. The phenomenon is explained, its consequences presented, and a solution proposed. The experimental results are also presented.
