— A new optical device whose reflection intensity can be electrically controlled at specific wavelengths has been demonstrated. This device has a liquid‐crystal/polymer multilayer structure formed by holography. The diffraction efficiency for Ar‐laser light is about 70%. The reflection intensity can be electrically controlled with a response time of less than 1 ms.
