A new Optical Frequency Response measurement method is presented to analyse ringing of deflection yokes and their interaction with the drive circuitry. Ringing is caused by high‐frequency electromagnetical oscillations. Various oscillation modes are identified and related to circuitry design. Experimental results show how the oscillations change in interaction with the drive circuit.
