Reflective Microdisplays, based on reflective CMOS silicon backplanes coupled to an LCD electro‐optic display mode, have been optimized for both projection and virtual view applications. We show that this requires different silicon backplane designs as well as different electro‐optic modes and we present performance data for each system.
