We propose a new type of an organic EL device of which structure is simpler than those of conventional blue organic EL devices. We succeeded in eliminating an organic electron‐transporting layer. Low driving voltage and long lifetime were realized by doping low work function metals into an emitting layer within the narrow region of the emitting layer/cathode interface.
