A 42 inch High‐Definition Plasma Addressed LC display, using 960 × 1920 color pixels with a new plasma technology was developed. Twice the vertical resolution was realized while maintaining the VGA‐pitch plasma structure. The key feature of this technology is the precise control of local plasma conductivity.
