The spatio‐temporal variations of 147nm, 173nm, and IR emission images were obtained from He‐Xe and Ne‐X surface discharge type AC PDP cell. Differences in the 147nm, 173nm, and IR emission characteristics between He‐Xe and Ne‐Xe gas mixture were observed and explained by the difference of Xe mobility and dimer reaction coefficients in two cases.
