We developed CRTs with FEAs as electron guns, i.e, FEA‐CRTs, and realized them as high definition and bright monitors for the first time. The FEAs' features such as high‐current‐density beam, heaterless cathode and low drive voltage clearly demonstrate FEA‐CRTs' superiority to conventional hot cathode CRTs.
