We propose a new digital display interface with optical interconnection technology. Using vertical cavity surface emitting laser(VCSEL) and large core optical fiber, the low cost and high performance interface solution is realized. The details of each part constructing this optical interface solution including TX and RX chip set, connectors, opto‐electronic devices and optical fiber are described. We applied this technology to the long distance connection between PC and LCD monitor.
