41cm 100° deflection angle CDT (Color Display Tubes) with 24.3mm neck diameter is developed for reducing the CDT depth by about 40 mm, using NE.4T‐MDF electron guns. Increase of deflection power caused by large deflection angle is suppressed thanks to small neck size and improved deflection yoke design. Shadow mask and inner shield are improved to prevent deterioration of brightness uniformity and coior purity.
