A CRT is proposed in which two deflection yokes and two sets of guns are used but only one shadow mask. The image is divided into two sub‐images. Image uniformity is obtained by creating partial overlap of the two sub‐images. A monochrome test tube was build to study the positioning requirements of the two sub‐images.
