This time, we developed high brightness, a backlight for small electric power LCD with 12.1‐inch size. We have developed high‐brightness Backlight of 12.1 inch in size which is useable for small electric power LCDS. It became possible in doing print nothing with the highly efficient Prism‐on‐Light‐Pipe by this backlight. In the course of development of this Backlight, we newly developed an optical simulator for Backlight through use of ray tracing method and Monte Carlo probability calculation method.
