A new method based on Paschen's law is developed to analyze the effects of wall charge distribution on the firing voltage of AC‐PDP. A fluid discharge simulation code and a Boltzmann equation solver are incorporated into the scheme. The dependency of the sustaining voltage on the addressing condition and the firing voltage of Ne‐Xe gas mixture is studied.
