The new flat‐panel display device was developed by using a thick film graphite powder as a cathode material. The simple screen printing process was performed to fabricate Planar Emitter Display (PED) devices. The basic structure of PED is of the diode type. The electrical and optical characteristics of PED were investigated to ascertain their suitability for application in display devices.
