A new phosphor triad based on Ce‐doped yttrium orthosilicate blue phoshor was synthesized recently and will be reported on. Updated plasmon theory calculations were used to design these phosphors. Blue, green and red monochrome screens were fabricated. Cathodoluminescent data from these FED phosphors and screens will be reported. The cathodoluminescent efficiencies of these phosphors should result in a light output exceeding 6 lm/W in full‐color FED‐screens operating at 5 kV and 10 μA/cm 2 .
