A three‐layer coating with adjustable transmission using reactive sputter coating of In‐Sn alloy and Si target is introduced in this paper. This technology is f4veloped to enhance the contrast of flat‐panel CDT by reducing the original transmission from 80% to as low as 48%. Computer simulation combining with Laboratory experimental results. were used to find an optimum condition between the reflectance, resistivity, and transmission. Basically, this optimum condition can be reached by properly controlling the thickness of each layer, the number of layers, and the order of layers coated from the bottom to the top.
