A 2.0 inch‐diagonal new transflective full‐color TFT‐LCD with 960H × 220V dots using low‐temperature poly‐Si LTPS TFT has been developed. This newly developed transflective LCD shows 70% higher transmittance and twice or higher contrast ratio than those of a conventional LCD. We also have developed a new adjusting sampling circuit for video signals to remove image blurring, or “Ghost” effect. Thereby this LCD provides images in higher resolution and visibility for mobile devices regardless of situations used indoors or outdoors.
