By introducing tridentate schiff‐base ligands, a novel class of organic EL materials, dimers of organic metal complexes with mixed ligands, have been designed and characterized, which prove to possess much higher luminescent efficiency and better film‐forming capability than the typical tris(8‐hydroxyquinoline)metal complexes. OLEDs based on these complexes display outstanding EL properties.
