BaAl 12 O 19 : Mn 2+ doped with Mg 2+ , Sr 2+ and La 3+ cations and BaMgAl 10 O 17 : Eu 2+ doped with Ca 2+ and Sr 2+ cations were synthesized by the high temperature solid state reaction method. The crystal structures and luminescent properties of these phosphors have been studied by XRD and luminescent spectra especially excited by vacuum ultraviolet.
