This paper proposes a natural and accurate approach how to design perceptually linear “gamma correction”1 for LCD. It is based on two advanced technologies: piece‐wise TRC (tone reproduction curve) model of electro‐optical property for LCD device, and DICOM grayscale function of optical‐perceptual characteristic for human visual system.
