In a MLAMulti Line Addressing drive system to select N lines simultaneously, it has been common sense that N+1 levels of the column voltage are necessary. The MLA drive system settled with half number of column voltages is developed. Concretely, it introduces single‐chip driver for 65k color STN‐LCD that the number of column voltages is four levels though seven lines are driven at the same time.
