The CL spectrum and relative intensity of Sr 5 PO 4 3 Cl:Eu 2+ has been studied with Ca 2+ or Ba 2+ substitute for Sr 2+ into the crystal. With Ca 2+ doping increased, the emission peak of Sr 5 PO 4 3 Cl:Eu 2+ under electron excitation changed from 445 to 455nm, and the relative intensity of Sr 5 PO 4 3 Cl:Eu 2plus; was improved simultaneously. This blue phosphor can be used for emissive display application under mid‐ or low‐voltage.
