In this paper, we propose a new structure of the priming discharge panel and the driving schemes in order to achieve high speed address driving. We inserted the priming electrode between two sustain electrode and applied the conventional driving waveform to the scan and sustain electrode, and the extra driving waveform to the priming electrode. Therefore, we realized the stable address with 1μsec data and scan pulse. This address with 1μsec scan pulse means that the single‐scan is possible in XGA or HD‐PDP and then the circuit‐cost can decrease.
