A new driving technique of applying the auxiliary pulses to only the address electrodes with the blue phosphor layers during sustain‐period is proposed to improve the color temperature of an AC‐PDP. This auxiliary pulses can increase the intensity of blue light, such that the color temperature of an AC‐PDP can be improved without any modification of cell structure and degradation of image quality.
