Spherical zinc gallate phosphors were prepared by using aerosol pyrolysis method. The synthetic parameters such as post heat‐treatment temperature, activator concentration, and degree of reduction were optimized for the maximum CL intensity. For enhancing the CL luminous efficiency of phosphors, adjustments of lattice structure were also considered. It was sensitive to the crystal structure in host lattice, which would be engineered by Al‐concentration in ZnGa‐Al‐O system. Zinc alumino gallates particles with spherical shape showed the brightness of 550cd/m 2 with color coordinate of x=0.1665 and y=0.6655 under an excitation of 400V, 50μ/cm 2 .
