— Today, many visual‐communications as well as home‐entertainment systems can be meaningfully enhanced by the addition of another dimension: depth. The plasma large screen should be very suitable for use in stereoscopic vision. Nevertheless, this technology suffers from slow phosphors, which prevent the displaying of a good stereoscopic effect at acceptable frame rates. We have developed a new stereoscopic encoding method to avoid phosphor disturbances.
