The addition of a primary‐color‐specific optical stack to iMoD displays dramatically improves the color gamut of the resulting display. This enables a reflective, bi‐stable display to offer a color gamut representative of transflective TFT LC displays (in transmissive mode) while simultaneously maintaining a reflectance greater than that of reflective TFT LC displays.
