We have successfully used electrodeposition method to make three different types of color filter for LCD, including the transmissive, the reflective and the COA (Color Filter on Array). Comparing with the conventional PDCR (Pigment Dispersion Color Resist) method, the process of lithography is reduced or even no longer needed to accomplish the arrangement of colored pixels.
