We already designed and demonstrated working samples of fully integrated and programmable 30V and 55V capacitor‐based high‐voltage generators for bistable display drivers. This paper discusses the design of a fully integrated bistable display driver that includes the programmable high‐voltage generators, integrated high‐voltage multiplexers for pixel addressing and digital logic for I/O communication and programming drive schemes. The driver was designed for driving a 5‐digit 7‐segment bistable nematic (BiNem™) display in a (contactless) smart card.
