Thermostimulated luminescence and brightness decay of low‐voltage cathodoluminescence in the conditions of dynamic and static vacuum for the ZnO:Zn and ZnO:Zn, Si have been studied. At low anode voltages the thermostimulated luminescence (TSL) peaks conditioned by gas adsorption on the phosphor surface were recorded. It is shown that the adsorption ability of ZnO:Zn, Si is lower than that in ZnO:Zn which is the reason for a longer service of a modified phosphor. The model of the modifying coating action is being considered.
