The designing of several new circuit building blocks for OLED‐on‐silicon based microdisplay is presented. These building blocks include gated D flip‐flops for reduced power consumption, current DAC with minimized spikes, pixel cell immune from device and process variations and large output swing. Two prototypes of inverted OLED microdisplays have been designed by these building blocks for demonstration.
