A new well‐lubricated anti‐smudge material for anti‐reflective (AR)coating has been developed. The material is the fluorinated compound ( AS2 ), which has an alkoxy silano group as a polar group at both end of a perfluoropolyether (PFPE)molecule. The surface energy and kinetic friction force of the thin film of the material on the AR coating are 14.2 mN/m and 103 mN, respectively. It is observed experimentally that the thin film enhances the abrasion resistance of the AR coated plastic film.
