Traditional approaches to the problem of de‐interlacing video images typically result in a trade‐off between vertical image resolution verses temporal image resolution. This paper presents an adaptive solution that not only takes into account inter‐frame motion but also particular edge information that aids to the reduction of familiar de‐interlacing artifacts.
