For different LCD applications, e.g. bistable cholesteric LCDs, chiral dopants are used to induce certain helical structures. With respect to operation parameters, the chirality transfer efficiency and the properties of doped LC mixtures must be optimized. Results obtained with selected nematic host mixtures and new chiral dopants will be presented.
