Polymer‐stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal (PS‐FLC) cells with high display performance have been developed and reported by our group, mainly through experiments. There are two types of PS‐FLC cells, exhibiting a Half‐V shaped and a V‐shaped EO characteristic, which are controlled by the condition of photocure treatment. In this paper, we show the V‐shaped switching characteristics of PS‐FLC cells by a computer simulation; some numerical models have been suggested and established using the continuum theory by introducing the term of polymer stabilization. It is shown that simulated results agree well with experimental results.
