— We have successfully demonstrated a 4‐in. full‐color active‐matrix OLED display based on amorphous‐Si (a‐Si) TFT technology. With improvements in the TFT manufacturing process and structure, a‐Si TFTs provide abundant capability to drive OLEDs. This demonstration clearly shows the possibility of using a‐Si TFTs as driving backplanes in the manufacture of full‐color AMOLEDs.
