This paper describes a current‐mode interface cascade COG(CiCC), source driver IC, and TFT‐LCD system. The CiCC system is composed of timing controller transmitter and source driver IC using cascade COG schemes. The advantage of CiCC is very low power consumption and low EMI using 200μA signal current and small signal loop paths between transmitter and receiver. The applicability of the CiCC was verified not only by developing source driver IC but also prototype panel display system.
