
Decision-Making Strategies of High School Senior Class Students Based on a Range of Factors

The aim of this study is to determine whether there are significant differences in the decision making strategies of high school senior class students according to a range of variables. Appropriate data was collected for quantitative study and a descriptive research method known as a survey model was used. A total of 838 students who were enrolled in the 12th grade of high school participated in the study, and a personal information form developed by a researcher and a Decision Making Strategies Scale were used. The data was evaluated using average, standard deviation, t-test and a one-way variance analysis. The obtained data were discussed and suggestions were made regarding the decision making skills of high school students. As a result, significant difference found in the use of Impulsive and Dependent Decision Making Strategies between genders, the field of study of high school senior class students and the education level of fathers of high school senior class students. Also, significant difference found according to the education levels of mothers of high school senior class students and family income of high school senior class students between their use of Indecision Decision Making Strategies.
