Periodontal disease is an important medical and social issue. Identification of risk factors is crucial in the development of approaches to prevention of periodontal disease. The article analyzes the demographic, ethnic, dental and physical risk factors of periodontal disease on the basis of a survey of a cohort of 2645 adult patients with various nosological forms.
