The article, devoted to the 90th anniversary of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia presents the information on the life and work of outstanding pediatricians of Russia - M.Ya. Studenikin (1923-2013) and V.P. Bisyarina (1912-1997), Academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, honored scientists of the RSFSR. High professionalism, achievements in scientific and clinical pediatrics, personal qualities and style of communication with colleagues, students, patients and their parents have created them a great authority among the medical community. M.Ya. Studenikin was elected chairman of the board of the All-Union Society of Pediatricians in 1974. Under his leadership, 3 congresses of the All-Union Society of Children’s Physicians were held. V.P. Bisyarina was elected chairman of the board of the All-Russian Society of Pediatricians in 1974 and was then elected its chairman at three more congresses. The activities of the All-Union and All-Russian Societies of Pediatric Physicians contributed to the improvement of the quality of medical and preventive and specialized care for children, the introduction of new medical and organizational technologies in the theory and practice of Pediatrics, and the positive dynamics of children’s health indices.
