The article presents a systematic analysis of the current regulatory framework governing the use of both qualifying features and medical criteria of harm caused to human health. The substantiation of group classification of the medical criteria differentiated on the main medico-expert signs is given: dangers to life, on outcomes and consequences (duration of disorder of health, persistent disability). The legal isolation of the concept of causing harm to health, on the one hand, and the fact of causing injury in medical expert respect, on the other, is shown.
