Profitability of clusterbean through front line demonstrations

Eleven (11) Front Line Demonstrations (6 at Gwalior and 5 at Shivpuri district) on the farmers’ field were conducted on complete recommended package of practices in comparison with farmers’ practice during kharif 2015 on clusterbean crop in two districts of Gwalior and Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. On the basis of two districts average results indicated that higher seed yield (1726 kg/ha) and net monetary return (71,001/-ha) of Guar was obtained under recommended package of practices, which was 41.04percentage higher seed yield as compared to farmer’s practices. Farmer’s practices obtained (1227 kg/ha) seed yield and net monetary return (51,177 /-ha) of Guar only.
