O escritor e jornalista Jon Krakauer (1964-), ao escrever Na natureza selvagem (1998), tinha como principal objetivo trazer a narrativa não linear da vida e jornada de Christopher McCandless (1968-1992). Chris, que em 1990 saiu de sua casa para viver uma vida de simplicidade e significado, migrou em uma jornada para o Alasca buscando encontrar na natureza aquilo que lhe faltava vivendo em sociedade, assim como inúmeras pessoas que lutam para encontrar o seu eu interior. Assim, será utilizado o teórico Yi-Fu Tuan (1930-) e o autor Eric Dardel (1899-1967) para embasar a pesquisa acerca da relação de McCandless com a natureza e como se deram as conclusões tiradas durante sua estadia pela “natureza selvagem”, visando uma análise descritiva e bibliográfica. Além disso, conectar o termo latim fugere urbem com a conexão profunda e respeitosa entre protagonista e a natureza, apontando esta como refúgio do caos interno e externo.Palavras-chave: Jornada. Topofilia.The Search For Yourself Through Nature in the Book Into the Wild ABSTRACTThe writer and journalist Jon Krakauer (1964-), in writing Into the wild (1998), aimed to bring the nonlinear narrative of Christopher McCandless's life and journey (1968-1992). Chris, who in 1990 left his home to live a life of simplicity and value, migrated on a journey to Alaska seeking to find in nature what he lacked by living in society, as well as countless people struggling to find their inner selves do. Thus, the theorist Yi-Fu Tuan (1930-) and author Eric Dardel (1899-1967) will be used to support the research on McCandless's relationship with nature and what were the conclusions reached by him during his stay in the “wild nature”, aiming at a descriptive and bibliographical analysis. Furthermore, connecting the latin term fugere urbem with the deep and respectful connection between the protagonist and the natural environment, pointing to nature as a refuge from inner and outer chaos.Keywords: Journey.
