The paper is dedicated to the influence of thyrotoxicosis on the heart geometry, possibility of its reversal, depending on level of thyroid hormones, and therapy (methimasol versus propilthiouracil). Moreover, the impact of ß-blocker therapy is described. Additionally data on the level of von Willebrand factor in thyrotoxicosis and its changing depending on medical therapy and thyroid status is provided.
