The current domestic mainstream of cigarette making equipment is the PROTOS70 model from German Hauni Company. The cigarette unit is equipped with capacitive detection means, which is used to determine the capacitance of cigarette whether is a loose-end cigarette or not based on different materials in the field of electric capacity through various principles. Capacitive sensor is a contact-type detector which is vulnerable to abrasion, temperature changes, humidity and other environmental factors that affect the accuracy. The photoelectric detection technology and bus transmission technology were used to improve loose-end cigarette detection accuracy, improve immunity to interference detection apparatus for the purpose of a novel method for quality testing of cigarettes, this design approach improve the accuracy of detection of short cigarettes and reduce the waste of raw materials, to achieve the purpose of energy saving.
