Due to the widespread dissemination of contemporary literary works, there is a serious shortage of contemporary literary works appreciating talents. Therefore, more and more attention has been paid to cultivating contemporary literary appreciation and creative thinking ability. In the article, the basic requirements for the appreciation of contemporary literary works, the problems in contemporary teaching, the importance and necessity of innovative thinking, and the analysis of countermeasures for the cultivation of innovative thinking talents, suggest that the main aspects of teaching should be improved, curriculum designing, and resources usage, etc., to realize the improvement and development of the ability to respond to innovative literary works from multiple aspects and levels, and to further meet the needs of contemporary social development.
