In the article we explored the transportation process on transport polygon based on the model ofcontrol system. Represented organization of the train traffic by the tight thread of schedule in combination with modern dispatching systems of control. We investigated transverse and longitudinal method of laying freight trains and considered modern technologies of operational work based on automated systems ofcomplex management of transportation process. So, the organization of the train traffic by the tight thread of schedule in combination with modern dispatching systems of train traffic control contributes: increasing of the delivery goods speed, reducing of downtime on industrial and freight stations, reducing of the time that wagons spend on freight operations. And it helps to improve efficiency of the transport process and attractiveness of railway to cargoowners.
