The article considers the normative legal acts concerning the concept of the anthropogenic factor in the context of emergency situations, highlights its features, draws parallels with related terms, analyzes various approaches to their interpretation. As a result of the analysis, the definitions of the concepts “anthropogenic emergency (anthropogenic emergency)” and “anthropogenic factor” are formulated. The authors also formulated proposals for the consolidation of these terms in the legislation.
